What is Manual Lymphatic Drainage?
MLD is a slow rhythmic progression of strokes aimed at moving interstitial fluid from the peripheral tissues, back into the cardio-vascular circulation. The Lymphatic System’s main function is immune response, and the removal of proteins from the tissue. It is the body’s recycling mechanism. MLD enhances the lymphatic systems main functions which can have many positive effects on other systems of the human body.
